The Viking Star features six cabin choices: three Verandas and three Suites that come with a veranda. The sizes range from 270 to 1,448 square feet, with the first Veranda option – the most basic of the six – offering 24-hour room service. With the Penthouse Junior Suite, you'll enjoy the same service, as well as complimentary laundry, priority restaurant reservations, and other bonuses.
Dining & Gastronomy
You don't need to leave your culinary preferences behind, as the Viking Star boasts several dining options. At The Restaurant, indulge in fine cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. However, you won’t be limited to local options – the World Cafe serves American, European, Japanese, and Chinese dishes. At the Aquavit Terrace, you can dine al fresco while overlooking the ocean. For something lighter, head over to the ship's bars.
Entertainment and Activities
You won't have to wait to reach your destination to have fun. Work out at the fitness center or on the sports deck, then treat yourself at the spa. The Wintergarden, an enchanting area near the main pool, offers afternoon tea service, and the nearby infinity pools will make you feel like you're swimming right in the ocean. Movie buffs will be spoiled for choice, as the Viking Star has not one, but two cinemas, and a theater for live shows and lectures about your upcoming destinations.
Casual clothing is acceptable for daytime wear. Exercise attire, including swimsuits, brief shorts, and cover-ups, should only be worn at the fitness center and pools and on the sports deck. When attending the dining areas after 6:00 PM, performances, or special events, the dress code is elegant casual: men should wear trousers and a collared shirt (tie and jacket are optional), while women are required to wear a skirt, dress, or slacks with a blouse or sweater.
