Cruises on board the Marco Polo

Embark on the charming Marco Polo and explore some of Europe's finest cruising destinations. From the British Isles to Mediterranean localities such as Gibraltar and Portugal. Iceland and Canada also occasionally feature of the vessel's itinerary. The Marco Polo is small enough to retain an old-school cruising charm while still features luxury facets such as a fitness center, massage parlor, and three whirlpools. When you're not docked at one of the fabulous ports, spend your days relaxing on the deck in the Palm Garden with a cocktail or take advantage of the activities arranged by the friendly crew.

With her beautiful teak decks and distinctive dark blue hull, Marco Polo is a fully modernized, traditional ocean liner. Cruise & Maritime Voyages offers a distinctly British style of cruising, meaning you'll feel like you've stepped back in time into the golden age of ocean lining. Enjoy a relaxing, adults-only retreat in a traditional British environment: enjoy tea and scones during afternoon tea each day, sip a pint in the pub in the evening, and fortify yourself each morning with a full English breakfast

Ship information

The staterooms aboard the Marco Polo come in 15 different variations, with a minimum size of 110 square ft for the standard twin interior staterooms. All staterooms come complete with a television, a mirrored dressing table, a personal safe, and a music console. Over 70 percent of the rooms are classified as Ocean View and encompass either a porthole or window, depending on the location within the ship.

Dining & Gastronomy

The two principle dining facilities on the Marco Polo are the Waldorf Restaurant on Deck 6 and the buffet-style eatery Marco's Bistro. The Waldorf serves delicious full English breakfasts, elegant 5-course lunches, and a wide selection of choices for the two dinner sittings. Marco's is a more casual affair where you can relax with buffet food and enjoy fabulous ocean views.

Entertainment and Activities

Daytime activities include a regular quiz, enrichment lectures, and deck games. After dinner, passengers can head to the show lounge to enjoy the guest entertainers sing and dance the evening away. The itinerary is varied and includes a range of styles from classical to pop. For those who prefer something a little more lowkey, the organized card games or the syndicate quiz are wonderful options. You can also kick back in the lounge and enjoy a drink while regaling tales of your day's adventures before returning to your comfortable stateroom for an excellent night's sleep while cruising to your next destination.

Dress Code

Despite being classified as a casual cruise, passengers tend to opt for smarter choices and swimwear is only worn around the pool area, even in the daytime. In the evening, male passengers tend to wear a collared shirt and pants with women opting for a cocktail or evening dress.
