Celebrity Xperience 2019/2020 Cruises

Experience boutique-style cruising with Celebrity Xperience!

Cruises on board the Celebrity Xperience

The Celebrity Xperience belongs to Celebrity's fleet of small, premium cruise ships that are custom-built to explore the Galapagos Islands. A boutique cruise ship, she takes just 48 passengers at a time on once-in-a-lifetime journeys to explore the most beautiful and biodiverse islands on Earth. Guests can look forward to laid-back, destination-intensive cruises in a pampering environment – with a guest-to-crew ratio of nearly 1:1, the level of personalized service is impeccable.

Celebrity Xperience is not an adults-only ship, but the lack of facilities aimed at children means it predominantly appeals to an older audience. The small number of passengers and crew offers a more personal experience, and there are plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle with the other passengers too. A cruise on the Celebrity Xperience will appeal to travelers who have done the big Caribbean or Mediterranean cruises and are now looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.

Ship information

Staterooms

All of the staterooms on the Celebrity Xperience have ocean views and are spread over three separate decks on the ship. Deluxe staterooms are around 160 square feet and offer Egyptian cotton bedding, beach towels and binoculars in addition to the standard amenities. Premium staterooms are larger at 175 square feet and the largest stateroom is the Elite, at 200 square feet. Unusually for a cruise ship, wetsuits and snorkeling gear are supplied for guests who wish to indulge in some underwater exploration.

Dining & Gastronomy

Given the size of the ship there is only one restaurant but two separate dining areas, allowing guests to choose between a formal meal at an inside table, or a more relaxed experience out on deck. Seafood features on the restaurant menus most nights, with plenty of choice for vegetarians too. In addition, the ship offers an outside bar where the daily cocktail hour is very popular.

Entertainment and Activities

Entertainment and activities on the Celebrity Xperience are all about the wildlife and landscapes of the Galapagos Islands. There are daily shore excursions to places of natural or geological note and, as the on board guides are Galapagos natives, they can offer a unique perspective on the islands and their history. Each night the guides will explain what you can expect to see the following day, allowing you to make your plans as the sun sets over the Pacific.

Dress Code

Given the nature of the cruise, the dress code on the Xperience is practical, comfortable and casual. There are no formal or gala evenings on board so you can leave the tuxedos and ball gowns at home. A jacket and tie isn't required for dining in the restaurant but long trousers are a more appropriate choice than shorts.
