Astoria 2019/2020 Cruises

Explore Britain and beyond on the wonderful Astoria

Cruises on board the Astoria

Cruise & Maritime Voyages brings you the charming Astoria ship, which makes wonderful voyages around the British Isles and Europe. Aboard the Astoria, you can explore the highlights of Scotland, the fjords of Scandinavia, and even the majestic city of St. Petersburg. Smaller and more traditional in design than many typical cruise ships, a trip on this vessel emphasizes a leisurely approach to life at sea.

This historical vessel offers passengers a range of staterooms, all of which are well-furnished and come complete with a full bathroom boasting a marble floor. When you're not docked in one of the numerous fantastic destinations, spend your days taking in the wonderful scenery, and taking part in regular guest lectures, quizzes, and craft classes. In the evening, take your seat in the Calypso Lounge and be dazzled by the excellent entertainment and cabaret, before turning in or taking it up a notch at the onboard nightclub.

Staterooms

The Astoria offers a wide range of well-appointed staterooms ranging from standard interior twins to luxury suites with an ocean view. The average size of the staterooms is a generous 157 square feet. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a television with an in-house movie selection, a minibar, and a personal safe. The excellent en-suite bathrooms have marble floors and both a bathtub and a shower.

Dining & Gastronomy

The Olissipo Restaurant is the main dining facility and serves a range of sumptuous dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For an informal meal, you can head to the Lotus Buffet and dine al fresco on the pool deck. For a supplemental fee, you can treat yourself to a sumptuous eight-course dinner at the Steak House.

Entertainment and Activities

Passengers can pamper themselves in the Astoria's spa, gym, and wellness center, where a range of treatments, including facials and massages, can be booked. The Show Lounge is the epicenter of evening activity, where performers keep guests entertained with songs, dance, music, and comedy. You can also try your luck at the casino. The Astoria often hosts guest speakers and "audience with" events, at which you can ask special attendees questions as well as hear their stories.

Dress Code

The dress code on board the Astoria is generally relaxed and flexible. During the day, it's not uncommon to see people wearing comfortable walking gear and other casual attire. Evenings are designated as either "formal" or "informal." For the former, men should wear a dinner jacket or suit, and women can wear evening or cocktail dresses. On informal nights, women can wear dresses or smart separates, and men should wear a jacket and trousers, tie optional.
