American Pride - Columbia and Snake River Cruises

Trace the path of Lewis & Clark on a leisurely river cruise with American Pride!

Cruises on board the American Pride

Once at home on the Mighty Mississippi, American Pride now undertakes leisurely cruises along the Columbia and Snake rivers in the Pacific Northwest. Sailing past mountains and forests, valleys and vineyards, a Columbia river cruise is an excellent way to take in the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Don’t let her historical exterior fool you – beneath the surface, she’s equipped with the latest propulsion and safety technology to guarantee you a smooth sailing.

The Pacific Northwest is home to some of America’s most quirky cities and beautiful nature. You’ll start (or end) your journey in Portland, Oregon, a city whose motto “Keep Portland Weird” is a testament to the artists, entrepreneurs, and subcultures who call the city home. A short drive outside the city will take you to Multnomah Falls, a picture-perfect waterfall spanned by a charming arched bridge that looks like it could be straight out of a Thomas Kinkade painting. An active volcano, a Native American reservation, and lots and lots of Lewis & Clark history await you on your trip!

Staterooms

Starting at 230 square feet, the staterooms on the American Pride are comfortable and spacious. Every stateroom has a river view, and most staterooms come with a private balcony. The spacious Owner’s Suite is a private paradise, with 445 square feet of space and panoramic scenic views to make you feel at home. A limited number of single staterooms and wheelchair-accessible rooms are available as well.

Dining & Gastronomy

Enjoy a range of regionally-sourced Pacific Northwest cuisine onboard. Seafood superstars such as Chinook salmon, Dungeness crab, and Puget Sound shrimp take center stage in the ship’s entrees, with plenty of popular pasta, chicken and salad dishes to round them out. To die for are the ship’s desserts, an ever-changing assortment of cakes and treats to top off your meal. And to whet your appetite? A pre-dinner cocktail hour in one of the ship’s lounges, with drinks incurring no extra cost.

Entertainment and Activities

American Pride is a laid-back ship that lends itself to quiet afternoons spent reading a book, chatting with fellow guests, or sitting by a window and watching the world go by. The highlight of its Columbia River itineraries are the educational lectures by acclaimed historian Todd Weber, who brings history to life with his colorful tales. Occasional guest musicians may add a musical note to your cruise.

Dress Code

American Pride has a casual atmosphere and a dress code to match. Passengers tend to dress in weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes during the day, and slacks, a buttoned shirt, or a sweater at dinner in the evenings.
