American Harmony offers guests the most spacious staterooms in the US small ship cruising industry. All 102 staterooms are outfitted with light blue and earth-toned décor, full-size bathrooms with toiletries and bath amenities, private balconies, and other state-of-the-art features. Rooms are serviced twice a day, and in-suite breakfast room service is completely complimentary. The smallest staterooms start at a comfortable 250 square feet while the most spacious, the two Grand Suites, measure 900 square feet each. The Grand Suites boast sliding doors that open up to balconies that wrap around the stern of the ship, separate bedroom and lounge areas as well as double vanity bathrooms outfitted in marble. Onboard are two staterooms designated specifically for cruisers traveling independently. For couples and larger groups, three categories of suites are available to meet everyone’s personal space requirements.
Dining & Gastronomy
All onboard meals are served in the ship’s Grand Dining Room. Located on the main deck, the restaurant has unassigned seating for all passengers. From the delightful breakfasts to the three-course dinners, the chefs craft seasonal and regionally inspired cuisine every day. The sustainable produce, meats, and seafood prepared onboard are sourced as close as possible to the cruise, provided by local farmers’ markets and small American businesses. If you prefer a more private dining experience, you can opt for the complimentary room service that is offered during mealtimes. Outside of dining hours, snacks can be procured from the main lounge round the clock. Guests can also delight in complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres daily during cocktail hour.
Entertainment and Activities
American Harmony, much like the rest of the American Cruise Lines fleet, caters to a quieter crowd. Guests can usually be found reading, observing the waters of the Mississippi from the sun decks, or chatting with others over cocktails. American Harmony features two sun decks, which offer guests the opportunity to sunbathe or just relax in the shade. Onboard is a putting green for golf enthusiasts, and deck games, such as shuffleboard, are also available.
American Harmony boasts five lounges – two of which have outdoor terraces, perfect places to see the natural beauty of the Mississippi. In terms of entertainment, cruisers can sit in on daily lectures and presentations from local experts, guest speakers, authors, and historians as well as performances from entertainers in the two comfortable lounges: the Main Lounge, peering over the bow of the ship, and the Sky Lounge, located at the back of the ship. If you’re craving for more, cruisers can retreat to the Chart Room library at the rear of the ship to learn about the destinations that await them. But if you just want to relax, the four stories of the Atrium have designated areas for lounging about.
It is recommended that guests wear casual resort attire both on the ship and ashore. Dinner requires more formal attire: a dress shirt and slacks with a sport coat or sweater for men and a sweater and slacks or dress for women. While ashore, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, rainwear, and a jacket are recommended.
